No troop losses: when Lords Mobile Army Colosseum is worth your time
Army Colosseum preserves your troops, but entries and rewards still need planning. Read seasonal Constellations, paid battles and how to choose a realistic goal.

In Lords Mobile's Army Colosseum, you can lose a battle and keep your troops. No losses do not make ranking competition free, however: additional entries cost Gems. The mode's value depends on the reward you want and how much you are willing to spend on a place in the rankings.
First check which Colosseum you entered
Army Colosseum is an army-battle mode inside the Colosseum building. IGG's version 2.177 announcement of October 20, 2025 specified access from Castle level 11. Army composition matters here; team advice for the hero Colosseum addresses a different task.
The developer's central rule was explicit: there are no actual troop losses in these battles. You can try permitted compositions without losing your army inside the mode. This does not establish equalized stats or mean every account can reach the top league.
Why someone else's winning army may not fit
Seasonal Constellations restrict available troop types, ratios and formations. Read those conditions before assembling an army: a winning composition in someone else's screenshot may not fit your season.
For a comparison, save your starting composition and change one parameter at a time, such as formation where the rules allow it. Record the result and opponent. This can reveal patterns, although battles against different armies are not a controlled comparison.
Success here does not prove that your Castle can withstand a real rally, a guild's combined attack. Castle defence has different conditions and real losses; our Lords Mobile trap guide explains the distinction.
Where free battles end
A game-help screenshot published by the community on March 6, 2026 lists five free daily entries. Additional entries cost Gems, with the price increasing after each purchase. Purchased entries reset at the daily ranking settlement.
Before buying, check the current help for entry counts, prices and reset timing: these details come from the March screenshot. Buy an entry for a specific goal, rather than stockpiling. Open the original reference at full size.

Before a purchase, establish what another win would provide: a new reward threshold or only a higher position? For a reward threshold, consider whether you can hold the result until settlement. For the competition itself, decide how many Gems you are willing to spend.
Mode rewards and account-wide upgrades are separate questions
The official description provides Glorious Silver and Gold Insignias for exchange in the Glorious Armory. Launch rewards included exclusive artifacts and decorations, Castle Star scrolls and material chests. Check your game for the current stock and exchange requirements. If choosing Champion Chests, first read what material drop probabilities mean: a chest count is not a count of completed gold Manes.
The rewards' purpose is exactly what confuses players. In a November 30, 2025 discussion, the author asked which stats a new decoration provided and whether they applied only inside Army Colosseum. Replies even confused a decoration with an artifact. That exchange cannot reliably assess a purchase today.
Open the full description of your specific item: reward type, where its bonus applies and the next upgrade level. If it works only in the Colosseum, assess it through future results there. If you need progress outside the mode, find confirmation on the card. A large percentage without its scope does not settle the choice.
One battle, a timer and a season goal
The Rewards screenshot contains an easily missed condition: eligibility requires participation in at least one battle per season. It also says to use the ranking page's countdown because end times may differ. Merely opening the mode at some earlier time does not establish a reward entitlement.
For your first season, choose a specific reward, read the Constellations and check your composition. Play the available free battles, then assess the distance to the result you want. Consider additional entries after that check.
Stopping at free entries is a valid strategy. Paying Gems makes sense when you know the next battle's cost, your goal and the reward conditions.
