Rank 8 but Heroic Saga is locked? What to check in Lords Mobile
Heroic Saga requires unlocked Battle Spirit. Check the entry conditions introduced in the October 15 update and distinguish rewards used for different upgrades.

Rank 8 alone is not enough to enter Heroic Saga in Lords Mobile: at least one hero must have Battle Spirit unlocked. Do not confuse this requirement with a hero's colour or Level. The hero development and skill guide separates Rank, Grade and Level. The October 15 update adds another distinct condition to check: Battle Spirit.
Check Battle Spirit rather than only the Rank icon
The Russian Google Play release description read on October 15, 2026 explicitly required one Rank 8 hero with awakened Battle Spirit. The English version agrees: at least one Rank 8 hero must have Battle Spirit unlocked. You do not need the whole team prepared beforehand, but the required Rank without the awakening is insufficient.
Battle Spirit is a separate hero-development system. Its level does not replace the hero's own Level, and Grade does not replace Rank. If you have a gold Level 60 hero, inspect that hero's Rank and Battle Spirit status. Gold colour alone does not establish eligibility for the Saga.

IGG's full announcement describes the step before awakening separately: the hero reaches Rank 8 and is fully equipped with Trophies. Check the selected hero's slots. If an item is missing, use the shortcut from a required Trophy to its recommended stage. Rank Trophies and Grade Medals serve different purposes; collected Medals do not fill an empty Trophy slot.
After preparing, inspect the awakening action and its requirements in Hero Details. Having a tab available does not mean awakening is already complete. Check the cost, your item stock and the available action in your client: the short store description is not a complete cost table. Open the original release description at full size.
Enter the Saga through the Hero Statue
Once eligible, open the Hero Statue and choose a Saga Quest. The official sequence is straightforward: assign heroes, complete the quest and collect rewards. Do not look for the feature in ordinary research, or treat changing your Leader as a substitute for assigning heroes to a quest.
The Saga has its own progress measure, Saga Level. Completing quests raises it. IGG's full announcement says this unlocks higher quest grades and increases the hero assignment limit. Higher-grade quests provide more Saga EXP and better rewards. Saga Level and an individual hero's Battle Spirit Level are separate values.
Three reward types serve different upgrades
Dragonscales unlock and enchant Armaments: separate hero-system items with their own effects. Recast Dice change the values of selected Armament effects. The release notes do not identify them as items for raising Battle Spirit. Saga Chest Dice and Dragonscale probabilities are examined separately: a Legendary name does not guarantee a gold die.
Battle Spirit uses other items: Horn of Strength, Feather of Dexterity and Eye of Intelligence. They raise its level. The full announcement links that development to strength in the Hero Colosseum; it cannot automatically be extended to an identical boost for the entire army in every mode.

The game frame shows the Armament screen: Bloodrush Halberd, separate effects and the Enchant and Recast buttons. Battle Spirit occupies another tab beside it, visibly distinguishing the systems. The values belong to the video creator's displayed account, rather than establishing starting or guaranteed values for yours. Open the game frame at full size. The two-screen Recast guide distinguishes consuming a die from changing the saved bonus.
What to check after the update
Check one specific route: client version → Rank 8 hero → that hero's Trophies → unlocked Battle Spirit → Hero Statue → Saga Quest. If an empty slot or locked awakening stops you, resolve that requirement first. If the Saga is already open, inspect your selected quest, assigned heroes and own progress rather than someone else's video map.
This guide uses the release description published October 15 and actual review footage from that day. It does not establish the best team, full-development cost or universal daily limits. Before spending rare items, read the selected upgrade's description: Dragonscales, Recast Dice and Battle Spirit items are not interchangeable. The same update introduced automatic Winged Boots and Mystic Carpet selection settings, covered separately from hero development.
