Monster gone, Energy spent: checks before a Lords Mobile hunt

Hunting Energy is spent before the hit. Read IGG's rule, the disappearance timer and the risk of other hunters reaching your target first.

Lords Mobile deducts hunting Energy when you send the team. If you do not manage to hit the monster, that Energy is not refunded, according to IGG's official guide. Before deploying, check more than your Energy stock and heroes: will the target still be there when you arrive?

There are two distinct risks. The monster may disappear when its timer expires, or other players may hunt it first. IGG recommends checking both before sending your team. Here is how to turn the rule into a short decision on the map.

Energy deduction does not wait for the hit

In Game Guide, open New Player Guide and find the question about losing Energy when a monster disappears during an attempted hunt. The answer distinguishes deployment from hitting the target. Sending the hunt triggers the cost; not landing a hit does not make the attempt free.

Remember this when you spot a nearly defeated monster and consider sending a team behind someone else's. Low remaining health may look like an opportunity, but it does not establish that the target will remain until your arrival. The guide recommends noticing other hunters beforehand.

A strong hero lineup cannot remove this risk: even a powerful team needs an available target. Skill selection answers a different question, explained in the Noceros damage-type and weakness guide.

Two questions before deployment

First: how long until the monster disappears? IGG points to the countdown below it: when that expires, the monster leaves the Kingdom Map. Compare the remaining time with your hunt's travel time. A long journey to a target whose timer is almost over is a reason to choose another before spending Energy.

Hypothetical example: the monster disappears in 20 seconds, but the journey takes 30. A larger Energy reserve cannot fix that ten-second gap. These figures illustrate comparing two timers; they are not game limits. Use your own screen's values and allow for the time spent making the choice.

Second: who else is hunting this target? A comfortable disappearance timer does not remove competition. Inspect the area around the monster. If a guildmate is hunting it, briefly coordinate targets. If the race's outcome is unclear, a nearby monster may be a more sensible choice. This reduces risk without guaranteeing that the target will remain.

If the target has already disappeared

Separate two situations: you had already sent the hunt, or you were still choosing a target. IGG's rule is tied to deployment. If your team departed and the monster disappeared before the hit, no refund is consistent with that rule. Do not count the spent Energy as available for your next attempt.

If this scenario does not explain the observed deduction, save the time, selected target, Energy before and after, and any available report for a support request. A disappearing monster does not itself prove a technical fault, but this short guide cannot explain every unknown Energy expense on an account either.

For the next hunt, choose a target, check its timer and other hunters, then send the team. IGG's guide was read on September 28, 2026; the original screen below is preserved without redrawing. Open it at full size. This is a map-planning rule, rather than an announcement of a new change.
