A third player took both knives: Metro Royale trade risks
A teammate offers a trade after a few rounds, but an outsider takes both blades. PUBG Mobile’s new warning and when to refuse handing over your weapon.

Do not drop valuable Metro Royale weapons for a promised trade. In PUBG MOBILE’s official 30 October example, two players agree to swap blades, but a third fighter takes both. Here is how a harmless-looking offer ends in loss and what to do before handing anything over.
This concerns the separate Metro Royale mode in PUBG Mobile Global. Legacy weapons is the video’s label; a karambit, a curved-blade knife, is among the items shown. The scene explains equipment-trading risk in this mode. Collection cards and other game versions need separate rule checks.
A few rounds first, then a trade
A player celebrates acquiring a weapon. Their teammate says they do not have one and offers a swap after a couple of rounds, promising their own weapon in return. To the owner, this looks like a chance to try another blade.

The original trade-offer frame shows the teammate’s blue knife. Showing it beforehand does not ensure you receive it. Playing together does not secure the exchange itself either.
Who took both blades?
As the two meet to trade, a third fighter is already watching. At 20 seconds, he lies by a rock with both players in view. Both traders then end up on the ground, and the outsider takes the gold and blue blades.

Open the full watcher frame: two players stand on the distant road, with the green fighter in front. The match environment itself creates risk: while they negotiate, the enemy continues acting.

In the 29-second ending frame, the third player already holds both knives. This is a staged official-channel example, not our gameplay test. It does not establish collusion between teammate and shooter.
Before handing anything over
- Decline voluntary Legacy weapon drops and trades: this is the video’s closing recommendation.
- A displayed knife and a few rounds together do not guarantee your item’s return or a completed exchange.
- If you only want to see another weapon, do not give up your valuable one for it. An offer to try it does not remove the risk of loss.
Published on 30 October 2026, the warning does not explain recovery of lost weapons. There is no basis to promise restoration after such a trade. Act earlier: keep your item while the offer is merely an agreement.
