A points tie for a qualification place at PMGO Season 2 can lead to a four-versus-four showdown. The organisers explained the new TDM tiebreaker in their official PMGO format announcement on 13 October. Here is when it applies, how the duel works and when the matches are scheduled in UTC.

PMGO stands for PUBG MOBILE Global Open, an international PUBG Mobile tournament. Season 2 takes place in Lahore, Pakistan, from 20 to 25 October 2026. These are rules for professional competition; they do not change your regular matches or apply to PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS or BGMI. Amateurs have a separate event: G2's PMG2 tournament, with 5v5 bomb defusal. Its entry requirements and format are covered in that guide.

PMGO Season 2 schedule in UTC

  • 20 October: Group A. 21 October: Group B. Scheduled start on both days: 11:00 UTC.
  • 22 October: Survival Stage, the last qualifying stage for the finals. Scheduled start: 11:00 UTC.
  • 24–25 October: Grand Finals. Scheduled start on both days: 11:00 UTC.

The official poster lists 16:00 UTC+5. Subtract five hours to get 11:00 UTC. This converts the match time printed on the calendar; it does not promise the exact moment of the first drop on a broadcast. The poster lists no separate match stage for 23 October.

That link is for Group A, not every remaining matchday. Check the current listing on the official channel for your chosen stage: a broadcast's start time and the match schedule need not be identical.

When does a points tie trigger TDM?

The event starts with 32 teams in two groups of 16. Places 1–6 in each group qualify directly for the Grand Finals; places 7–14 move to the Survival Stage, while places 15–16 are eliminated. The 16 Survival teams compete for the final four places. Watch the qualification cut-off, rather than only the team at the top of the table.

The TDM tiebreaker is an extra Team Deathmatch used when tied points decide a qualification place. The official rules card limits it to the Group Stage and Survival Stage. If qualification is not at stake, the standard tiebreaker rules still determine the order.

When two teams are tied, they play each other. If three or more teams are tied, the standard rules first narrow the contest to the final two; those two then play TDM. Do not expect every pair of teams with matching points to have a separate duel.

The original rules card separates the trigger, the procedure for three or more tied teams and the match settings. It is an organiser's document, not a screenshot of your current TDM lobby.

How the deciding duel works

The teams play 4v4 on Warehouse. Best of three, or Bo3, means the first team to win two rounds takes the series. A team wins a round by reaching 15 eliminations first. If neither side reaches 15 before the five-minute timer expires, the team with more eliminations wins.

If the round ends level, the team that made the last elimination wins. Players may use only the M416 and choose their own attachments. Health recovery is disabled and sliding is not allowed. These settings describe this tournament tiebreaker; they are not rules for every mode in PUBG Mobile.

What to watch for on the broadcast

  • Identify the stage and group first: Group A is scheduled for 20 October and Group B for 21 October.
  • When points are tied, check whether a qualification place is at stake. Matching totals alone do not automatically mean TDM.
  • During the duel, distinguish the current round's elimination score from the number of rounds won in the best-of-three series.

Format and calendar rechecked on 21 October 2026 against the announcement and the two official infographics. This guide explains the published schedule and rules; it does not report match results or predict a winner. The Grand Finals use a separate SMASH format. Check its threshold and the condition for an extra match in the finals rules, rather than inferring them from the TDM card.
