Enough speed-ups, not enough resources: budgeting 100,000 T4 in Lords Mobile
Two modes in IGG's Training Calculator and a hypothetical T4 Infantry batch. Why Training Speed and Subsidy solve different bottlenecks.

You may have enough speed-ups for a whole T4 batch, but enough Gold for only part of it. Start by finding the real troop shortfall using our army recovery guide, then check the chosen batch in IGG's Training Calculator. We will examine a hypothetical 100,000 Infantry: a plan that fits the time budget but fails on resources.
A Reddit troop-comp discussion also asks whether to keep enlarging an army or change its composition. Here we will not choose a universal defensive troop count; we will calculate the cost of an already chosen target. All results below came from IGG's official web calculator on October 4, 2026, not the game client.
First choose whether to calculate from stock or from a target
The Training Calculator has two modes. No.of Speed Ups starts with your speed-up stock and returns a troop count. The Speed Ups field uses d for days. Ten one-hour items mean ten hours of stock, not ten days: add their durations first.
No.of Troops starts with the required troop count and returns costs. For this example, enter Troops = 100000, Troop Tier = T4 and Troop Type = Infantry. Tier means the troop grade, with T4 the fourth tier. Ranged, Cavalry and Siege require separate calculations; do not apply Infantry's resource list to them.
Training Speed is the percentage training-speed bonus. Subsidy is a separate resource-cost reduction field in this tool. The first test uses 100 and 0 respectively. These are controlled comparison inputs, not recommended stats or a promise of bonuses available to you.
100,000 T4: almost 70 days of speed-ups and 50 million Gold
After Calculate, the tool displayed 69 days, 10 hours and 40 minutes of speed-ups. It also listed 100 million each of Food, Timber and Ore, 50 million Gold and zero Stone. M means millions in these entries. Zero Stone applies to the selected Infantry, not all training in the game.
This is the total speed-up duration for the selected calculation. It does not mean waiting almost 70 calendar days if you use speed-ups. The reverse conclusion is wrong too: owning that stock does not establish that the whole plan is feasible. Compare every resource separately.
The original IGG website screen below preserves the inputs and refreshed result together. The figures were not redrawn. Open the calculation at full size.

Speed reduces time; Subsidy reduces resource costs
Keep the same 100,000 T4 Infantry and zero Subsidy, but change Training Speed from 100 to 200. The result was 46 days, 7 hours and 6 minutes; Food, Timber, Ore and Gold remained unchanged. Higher speed helped with speed-ups in this test, but the Gold shortfall remained.
Now restore speed to 100 and separately set Subsidy = 50. Time remained 69 days, 10 hours and 40 minutes, while Food, Timber and Ore fell to 50 million each, and Gold to 25 million. The second original screen shows that comparison. Open the Subsidy calculation.
Being able to enter 50 does not prove your account can obtain that bonus. Use your own confirmed value. Change one parameter at a time and check that the result actually refreshes; otherwise you may compare new inputs with an old result.

How 70 days of speed-ups become a 60,000-troop plan
Take a hypothetical budget already allocated to training: 70 days of speed-ups, 80 million each of Food, Timber and Ore, and 30 million Gold. Reserves for other actions are excluded. Keep T4 Infantry, Training Speed 100 and Subsidy 0.
The 100,000 target fits the time budget but not the resource budget. The first result gives 1,000 each of Food, Timber and Ore and 500 Gold per soldier. Each of the first three stocks covers 80,000 troops; Gold covers only 30,000,000 ÷ 500 = 60,000. Gold is the limiting resource in this example.
Checking in the opposite direction confirmed the smaller plan: entering 60000 under the same conditions returned 41 days and 16 hours, 60 million each of Food, Timber and Ore, and 30 million Gold. Prepare that batch within the chosen budget or obtain the missing resources for a larger target first. More speed-ups alone cannot close the gap.
Checks before spending
Confirm the actual shortfall, troop type and tier. Enter your bonuses, then compare the result with suitable speed-ups and every resource stock. For a mixed army, calculate types separately and add the costs: the same stock cannot be allocated in full to every row at once.
Before a large spend, compare the calculation with the client's training window. The public form includes T1–T4, but no T5 or batch-capacity field. It does not establish that the entire number can be started with one press, and it does not check an event's point conditions. Verify the particular task and deadline separately.
Use the appropriate tool for construction and research. Our Guild Helps and Project Calculator guide explains avoiding duplicate boosts. Training Calculator has no Guild Helps field; do not import a research calculation's adjustment into it.
The useful result is a specific troop count covered by all allocated stocks. If the target does not fit, record exactly what is missing: time, speed-ups, Gold or another resource. The next step is then clear before training begins.
