RAID Frontier Explorer Pass: buying access does not complete quests

Read Basic and Explorer rewards, the final Outpost’s unlock condition and quest counters using original screens before deciding whether to buy a pass.

Frontier’s Explorer Pass unlocks access to paid rewards; it does not complete quests for you. The HellHades Frontier guide explains the map and Outpost system. Here we use dated examples to show what to check before buying, and why a desirable reward on the map is not necessarily ready to claim.

Separate pass access from progress

An Outpost is a map location with its own quests and rewards. Its four quests each award one point for that Outpost; these points do not transfer elsewhere. Basic identifies a free reward and Explorer a reward requiring the paid pass. Both still require quest progress.

The frame below selects Outpost 3. At the bottom, progress is 1/4 and the first Basic reward has a Collect button. The next reward says Explorer and shows a lock. Progress at this location and the reward’s track are two separate conditions.

Do not value the purchase by adding every icon visible on the map. Open the reward you want and check its track, required progress and Outpost availability. Compare the price with Explorer rewards your account can actually reach.

The final chest has a separate unlock condition

The second original frame selects the final Outpost. The game explicitly says at left that all other Outposts must be completed first. Buy Explorer Pass remains visible at the bottom right, but that button does not override the condition on the left.

Outpost 48 identifies the selected location on that screen. That number alone does not establish how many Outposts the map contains. Its unlock condition and your actual progress are more useful for a purchase decision.

If buying for a final reward, check the whole route to it. One unfinished mandatory Outpost already disproves the expectation of buying the pass and immediately claiming the finish. Pass price and progression costs are separate parts of the decision.

Count actions, not just quest names

Return to the first frame: the quest requires Force Keep Stage 12 or higher, and the counter is 0/10. Here, 12 is the minimum stage and 10 is the required number of clears. Saying only “clear Stage 12” omits half the condition.

Before repeat battles, record the mode, minimum stage and clears remaining. Check one battle and the counter’s change, then plan the rest. This verifies your own active quest instead of guessing from another player’s map.

If your quest concerns a Relic, check whether it asks for Level or Rank. Our Relic upgrade guide uses original screens to explain why Max at Level 12 is not the final limit.

For repeat-battle teams, use our Saved Teams and Skill Instructions guide. A working preset helps repeat a fight; Frontier quest eligibility still needs a separate check.

What to check before paying

Choose a specific goal. Record the reward’s name and type. A Soul for The Scarecrow is not the Champion: the official Frontier announcement concerned Souls, while the separate Ingenious Titan Event concerned the Champion. Our Awakening and Ascension guide explains the required Champion and why a 5★ Soul may not be usable.

Check access. Read a locked Outpost’s condition. For an open one, inspect every quest, including counters and mode requirements. Do not budget for a reward whose route you have not checked.

Estimate the remaining costs. Check your resources, battle time and event timer in your own client. Read your own shop’s price; another currency or region does not confirm your cost. Base the decision on demonstrated progress rather than an assumption that you will clear the whole map.
