RAID Fusion Tokens: three Tokens do not instantly give you Gnut
Tokens change a Fusion’s target, not its completion requirements. Check Tier costs, the 100-Fragment restriction and Token refunds using original Plarium screens.

Three Fusion Tokens let you choose Gnut as a Fusion target; they do not grant him immediately. The active event’s final Champion changes, but the Fusion still needs completing. The official Change Fusion Champion guide explains the feature. Check the conditions before confirming, including why collected Fragments can rule out a target.
Before another Fusion, players often debate which earlier Champion to choose. Understand eligibility first. A useful Champion does not become available simply because you have three Tokens. The source rules were checked against Plarium’s guide on 16 October 2026.
The target changes; you still complete the chain
The feature applies to an active time-limited Fusion Event. In the official example below, Change Champion is beside Fuse. The required-Champion chain remains below the target: changing it does not turn the event into an instant Token purchase.

Read the current Fusion requirements first: which Champions to collect and the Rank, maximum Level and Ascension needed for each slot. A Fusion Token changes the target; it does not replace preparation, costs or remaining time. Open the Portal screen at full size. If the chain starts with Epic Fragments, check the final deadline too: our hybrid Fusion guide explains why stored Fragments do not extend the Fusion.
Why Gnut can be in the table but unavailable to you
You can choose a previous Fusion or Fragment Event Champion not yet obtained by another method. Collecting 100 Fragments already counts as obtaining that Champion, even before summoning. Keeping the completed Fragment set therefore does not make another copy available through target swapping.
Targets have three cost Tiers: Tier 1 costs 3 Tokens, Tier 2 costs 2 and Tier 3 costs 1. The cited table places Gnut in Tier 1. This is the price of changing the target, not the whole event’s cost or a measure of that Champion’s value to your account.

Before comparing Champions, verify that the target appears in the current list, has not already been obtained and is affordable at its Tier. Use the official guide for the full table; an old screenshot does not fix future stock. Open the Tier menu at full size.
When you earn a Token and what failure refunds
Completing a Fusion Event without swapping its target earns one Token. Fragment Summon Events do not award Tokens. Two qualifying completed Fusions give two Tokens and a third gives another. Those three can fund a Tier 1 swap in an eligible active event, which must then still be completed.
After swapping, Tokens are deducted and that Fusion no longer awards a new Token. Do not budget both the selected earlier Champion and another Token for the ordinary completion of the same event.
If you swap but do not finish the Fusion, the guide says spent Tokens return when the event expires. That promise concerns Tokens. It does not promise a refund of Shards, Energy, Silver or time; set separate limits for those costs.
What to record before confirming
Record four points: target and Tier; eligibility based on roster and Fragments; Token balance before and after the swap; and remaining mandatory Fusion stages with timers. Reserve preparation resources separately. This checks a route to the result rather than merely permission to change a portrait.
If the alternative is summoning the same Champion from Shards, compare those terms separately. Our ×30 probability guide explains why a boost is not a guarantee. A Fusion swap also has conditions, but it is a different mechanic from a summon multiplier.
Confirm only after checking the target, requirements and your plan. If current-event information is missing, find its calendar and thresholds first. The Token count answers whether you can change the target; readiness to finish is a separate check.
