RAID Relic effects not landing? Not every item needs Accuracy
Why a Relic’s percentage does not replace Accuracy, which effects need ACC and which Gemstone is an exception. Plarium’s rules and two original screens explained.

A Relic can be upgraded while its negative effect still depends on the Champion’s Accuracy. Our Relic Level, Rank and Rarity guide explains item progression. Here we check which effects need ACC and when adding it solely for a Relic will not help.
October discussions again compared Relics and their value for builds. Before following a player’s ranking, read the item’s conditions. Plarium clarified Relics on 18 September and Gemstones on 2 October 2026. This explains those rules; it is not an announcement of a new mechanic.
25% in a description is not an Accuracy check
Accuracy, or ACC, is involved in landing negative effects against an enemy, opposed by Resistance, or RES. The Ability’s own activation condition comes first. More ACC does not bypass a required action or turn a proc chance into certainty.
The official Hallowed Hilt screen describes a 25% chance to place Fervor on an ally after healing them with an active skill. That percentage is the chance of triggering a buff on an ally. It is not the chance of overcoming an enemy’s Resistance: the effect and target are different.

Whose Accuracy does the effect use?
Plarium explains that Relics normally use their wearer’s ACC for negative effects unless their descriptions explicitly say the effect cannot be resisted. Its list names Mind of Marquat, Diabolical Dice, Blades of Akumori and Sporeburst Rod as using wearer ACC.
Wand of Submission is different: a deflected debuff uses the ACC of the Champion who originally tried to place it. Deflection returns a debuff to its sender; it is not a skill transferring a debuff. Building the Wand’s wearer with extra ACC solely for that reflection is therefore the wrong goal.
The developer identifies Orb of Transfixion and Hammer of Ending as having irresistible effects. Stormcaller’s Stormcall Stun also cannot be resisted, but the buff must first reach five stacks. Irresistibility does not remove the activation condition.
Check the socketed Gemstone separately
Gemstones fit into Relic Sockets and add their own passive Abilities. A Relic’s rule does not automatically apply to its Gemstone. In the 2 October Digest, Plarium said most Gemstones do not need Accuracy. Even the cited Destroy HP effect bypasses ACC. If pursuing Gemstones through Live Arena rewards, first read the Win Streak, Ticket and reward-League rules: one loss does not erase the wins, while the second ends the run.
The exception named on that date was Buff Depletion, a square Mythical Gemstone that needs ACC. This is a specific exception, not a rule for all square or all Mythical Gemstones. Check any changed item list or Ability wording separately.
The second original selects Boss Slayer, whose description gives the wearer 10% more damage against Bosses. That is the bonus’s size, not a 10% chance to receive it. This distinguishes boosting your own damage from trying to land a negative effect.

Before changing the build
- Read the specific Relic and Gemstone. Separate activation condition, proc chance and effect size.
- Identify what failed to happen: an ally buff, increased damage or a negative effect on an enemy.
- For a negative effect, look for an irresistible-effect clause. Otherwise check ACC rules; Wand reflection uses the debuff’s original source.
- Only then decide whether to change the Champion’s stats. Do not sacrifice other stats for ACC an effect does not need.
If ACC is needed and you enhance that gear substat with a Glyph, remember that a Glyph can be consumed without increasing the bonus. That is a separate upgrade roll and says nothing about a Relic triggering in battle.
The original rules and images were reread on 12 October 2026. This article gives no universal ACC target for every enemy and reports no game-client test of our own. Finding the relevant stat is one step; an exact battle target requires enemy data and the other conditions.
