Lineup kept, Auto-fight record cleared: WoR’s new Arena

Eight opening waves, an endless final phase and system-controlled defence. What to recheck in Watcher of Realms Arena after the stage change clears old records.

Your Watcher of Realms Arena lineup will remain, but its previous Auto-fight record will not. The official explanation of the new season, published on 23 October, separately warns about record resets and asks players to update attack and defence. This is more than recording a familiar fight again: the first eight waves change, and the ninth becomes an endless finale. Here is what to check when your server moves to the new stage.

A lineup and an Auto-fight record are different

A lineup is your chosen team of heroes. An Auto-fight record saves a run for automatic replay. The developer’s card says only lineups are preserved at the new stage; Auto-fight records are deleted. Familiar portraits therefore do not confirm that the old fight can still replay automatically. The warning also does not mean Auto-fight itself is being removed.

After the stage changes, open attack and defence separately and inspect the heroes and available saves. If the client offers to record a new attack run, first check that the team clears the changed waves. An old success happened under different conditions and cannot yet establish that your new deployment is reliable.

Wave nine: clear your own field to start the next

Enemy spawn timing has been reworked for the first eight waves. The announcement does not give exact new timings. Recheck when you deploy heroes or use Ultimates: the old sequence may have relied on different enemy arrivals. This is a reason to review the record, not proof that every old lineup will lose.

The ninth wave is replaced by “Endless Vortex”, a final phase of repeated waves of stronger enemies. Each contains the same number of opponents. The next wave starts only when no enemies remain on your field. Watch the durable enemy left behind: while it lives, the condition is unmet. The rule does not require your opponent’s field to be cleared too.

During this final phase, every enemy you defeat immediately damages the opponent’s base. The base is the defended objective with its own health; defeating enemies affects that health. The card gives neither the amount nor the formula for this damage. One total hero-damage figure cannot tell you how much health the enemy base will lose or guarantee a winner.

The system controls defence: check it separately

The developer explicitly states that the system controls the defensive lineup. Do not assume defence will reproduce your manual attack sequence. After the change, check the defensive team itself and whatever evaluation the client provides. Saved hero selection and their battle behaviour remain separate conditions, even when attack and defence portraits match.

When rearranging heroes, check attack and skill ranges. Our example of Rorkesh’s range and the recipient of Black Hand’s buff shows why a powerful effect alone does not guarantee hitting the required enemy. It illustrates skill reading; it is not a mandatory-hero recommendation for the new Arena. A stage update does not remove individual ability conditions.

What to watch in your first check battle

Note which enemy delays the clear, whether the intended hero reaches it and whether the team survives. Then open that enemy’s description in your client. KaifStream’s preview shows a separate Monster Guide with statistics and a skill. That is more useful for identifying a delay than a single team-power score. Recheck values taken from someone else’s preview.

The Russian announcement headline says the season has already begun, but its card gives no exact switching date or time zone for every server. Do not turn the 23 October publication date into one universal reset deadline. Check the stage name and timer in your client. The preview cannot establish the calendar either: its final phase has a different label from the official card.

The check order is straightforward: open attack and defence separately, read the new stage conditions, test the run and only then rely on a new record. In the endless finale, monitor a complete clear of your own wave and base health. This article provides no personally tested battle, universally best team or measured improvement.
