Rorkesh in WoR: check attack range and who receives his buff
His Ultimate has a range condition, and the Black Hand supports one highest-ATK ally. How those limits and summon uptime affect Rorkesh’s role in a Sync team.
Published · Updated

Rorkesh brings Sync damage and ally support to Watcher of Realms, but two conditions matter: where his attacks can reach and which ally gets the buff. Start with the Grey Blades Sync overview; here we focus on the limits in his own kit.
The Ultimate checks each attacker’s own range
Rorkesh and the Black Hand each attack up to two enemies within their own ATK Range. The Ultimate deals DEF-ignoring Sync DMG and applies Bounty. Ignoring DEF does not mean ignoring the stated range condition.
Do not transfer Garroq’s distance-independent marked-target mechanic to every Rorkesh attack. Placement still matters. The Guild War deployment preview is another separate question; permission to place a summon does not remove its attack rules.
After the Ultimate, Rorkesh and the Black Hand gain 40% Anti-Air DMG Increase for ten seconds. That is not a buff for the entire team. Vulnerability (P. DMG) is a separate effect in the passive description.

One ally receives the Black Hand’s support
While deployed, the Black Hand continuously provides DMG Increase and Penetration Increase to one allied hero with the highest ATK on the field. The description gives priority to allies from the same faction and team. It does not say that every Grey Blades hero receives both effects.
Check the recipient’s ATK rather than overall Battle Power. A gear change can alter which ally has the highest ATK and therefore receives support. A stronger-looking team total does not guarantee that the buff still reaches the hero you intended.
The support depends on the Black Hand being present. When comparing damage, check its presence and the actual recipient rather than assuming a permanent team-wide enhancement.
Summon lifetime is not a fixed uptime percentage
Rorkesh receives one Black Hand on deployment and another every 50 seconds. A deployed Hand lasts 25 seconds. His Basic ATKs extend an existing Hand’s duration by two seconds; if no Hand is present, they instead reduce the wait for the next one by two seconds.
Dividing 25 by 50 does not produce real battle uptime because Basic ATKs change both sides of the cycle. The kit alone does not establish one universal ATK Spd. threshold for permanent presence. Attack opportunities and interruptions still matter.

Choose the job before judging the hero
Rorkesh is a secondary Sync DPS and support Marksman, not a Lord. He helps a coordinated lineup rather than replacing every other role. Our Garroq without Amelia guide distinguishes a damage dealer’s own kit from a full faction setup.
For a useful comparison, keep the battle, gear and other heroes fixed. Check range coverage, buff recipient, and survival across repeated attempts. A single higher result does not identify which part of Rorkesh’s kit caused it.
The official skill descriptions do not supply a precise damage gain for your account, nor establish that he is indispensable in every mode. Judge him against the task your available lineup needs to solve.
The archived October summon window
The September 28 schedule listed Rorkesh and Corven for October 16–19, 2026. That window has ended. The poster gave dates without detailed opening or closing hours, and a rate-up is not itself a guarantee of obtaining Rorkesh.
Before building around him, make three checks: can his attacks reach the targets, does the right ally receive support, and does the Black Hand remain present when needed? Those answers are more useful than treating Sync as a universal map-wide attack.
