Unlocked an Aspect? WoR is planning another upgrade system
Stats, skill effects, and new slots: what the Aspect development announcement promises, and why Gadrien’s Tales does not yet provide a full release schedule.

Unlocking an Aspect in Watcher of Realms may soon cease to be the final upgrade step: the developer has announced further development for Aspects already obtained. We explained what an Aspect changes in a skill using Sun Wukong’s Golden Immortal as an example. Here we examine the next layer: promised upgrades, material sources, and conclusions the preview cannot yet support.
Obtaining an Aspect and developing it are different tasks
The October 19 announcement concerns Aspects your heroes already have. Developing an existing enhancement is not the same as obtaining a missing hero or unlocking any Aspect you want. First establish which Aspect you actually own, then plan its further development.
The developer names three areas: increasing base attributes, improving Aspect skill effects, and filling new development slots. The English announcement describes the last area as equipping a new development resource. A slot holds such a resource; the brief preview does not explain compatible items or their individual properties.
Look at the specific skill and attributes as well as the appearance. Improving one skill effect does not establish an equal percentage increase in total battle damage. This announcement supplies no numerical upgrade values, step costs, or maximum development level.
Two emblems do not establish a finished upgrade route
The official poster shows two colour themes, connected nodes, and triangular slots. Its caption refers to two Aspects and paths to power. This is a feature preview: icons alone cannot establish a mandatory purchase order, each step’s cost, or whether all pictured enhancements can be used together.

Do not read the artwork as a promise of two free Aspects for every hero. That would require separate unlock conditions. When detailed rules arrive, check the selected Aspect’s requirements and development limits before comparing paths. Test-server lists in comments cannot replace the rules of your available version.
Materials are planned to come mainly from Gadrien’s Tales
The developer calls the upcoming Gadrien’s Tales mode the main source of development materials, with other acquisition methods promised later. Mainly does not mean exclusively, and the promise of more methods provides neither their schedule nor their rewards. It is too early to calculate how many days one Aspect will take.
A separate official announcement dated October 17 gives November 1 for the mode itself, without an hour or time zone. That date cannot automatically become the exact activation time for the entire Aspect development system: the new preview says it is coming soon and gives no separate deadline.
Our Gadrien’s Tales announcement and launch-date article also covers an icon-guessing contest. The contest and the future game mode are separate things. A diamond giveaway entry format is not an Aspect material farming guide.

What to check when the feature becomes available
Start with a hero you already use in the relevant battle. Record the original attributes and active Aspect description, then read exactly what the chosen upgrade changes: a base attribute, a skill effect, or the resource fitted to a slot. This separates the new bonus from existing hero upgrades.
Before spending, establish the step’s cost, resource compatibility, and path-changing rules. For a comparison, keep the lineup, gear, and battle difficulty constant and change only the upgrade under review. This is a plan for a future check, not our game-client test result: exact limits and gains remain to be confirmed.
Aspect development is a reason to review existing enhancements and follow the new mode’s rules. It does not yet identify a universally best path or promise free maximum development. The source article checked conditions on October 20 against the original development announcement and the mode launch announcement.
