Switch alliances before registration? Doomsday's proposed lock
IGG's preliminary plan would tie event participation to the alliance used for registration. Learn the proposed scope, the Glory League exception and which timing details remain unspecified.

Under IGG's preliminary plan, registering for a cross-server event would tie a player to one alliance. That makes a transfer worth discussing before registration, not just before the battle. Our alliance selection guide explains how to check a team's schedule and activity. Here, we examine a proposed restriction that could change when you choose to move.
What the proposed lock covers
The DLS Team letter titled Advance Notice on October Version Optimization Plans is dated 5 October 2026. It appears in bM Tactics' video of 6 October. The developers present preliminary plans for a late-October update. This is an announcement of intentions, not confirmation that the lock is already active. Open the original at full size.

The letter proposes locking the alliance after registration in the listed major cross-server events. The developers' stated aim is to reduce movement between teams and improve matchmaking. That explains the intention; the letter contains no measured result from a new algorithm.
Moving from A to B is not a new registration
The details appear at 05:55. After registering with alliance A, a player would remain tied to it for [X] days. During that period, the listed events could be played only with A; registering for them with alliance B would not be possible.
For example, under the proposed rule, you register with A and later find B with a more convenient schedule. Changing teams alone would not guarantee eligibility again. You would first need to check whether the lock has ended and whether registration with B is available. A and B are example teams, not special alliance categories.
Alliance lock here describes a participation and registration restriction. The displayed points do not separately establish whether the Leave button itself would be disabled, how the participant list would behave after leaving, or whether the original registration could be canceled. Those questions require final rules or the relevant screen.
Glory League is an explicit exception
The Scope section lists Archipelago Raid, Island Raid, Extreme Showdown and new major cross-server war events in future versions. Glory League is explicitly excluded. Do not extend the proposed restriction to every Doomsday event. Open the original at full size.
![Scope and Rule Details in the DLS Team letter: Glory League excluded, alliance A lock for [X] days, and no registration with B during that period.](https://garantmax.org/files/loaded/eedb52638335e1c5568cd611b10cb810/size_1024_55498484_original-alliance-scope.webp)
This exception does not promise unrestricted substitutions in Glory League. It says only that this particular new mechanism would not apply there; check the league's own restrictions separately. Also distinguish an alliance transfer from migration, which moves an account to a different game region.
The number of days is not specified
The letter says [X] days, not a definite number. This source cannot give you an exact unlock calendar, establish 28 days or promise a move between the next two cycles. A general late-October plan also does not set a precise activation time.
If advice says to switch at the last moment for a reward, check its basis. You need the rules for your particular event and current cycle, plus confirmation of when the change takes effect. A video's publication date, an old schedule and a confident explanation do not establish those conditions.
What to check before choosing a new alliance
Agree on a place and suitable event hours with the new team first. Then ask an officer whether you are already registered with your former alliance, which mode is selected and what restrictions the client shows. Save the rules screen and your participation status before moving.
Check the registration date, battle start and possible end of the lock separately. IGG's plan ties the restriction to registration: several days until the first fight does not by itself establish eligibility with another team. If no duration is given, ask support about the specific event.
Do not infer eligibility rules from an alliance's ranking position. Our troop dismissal and matchmaking analysis separates registration, ranking and pairing. The practical action here is different: check the lock before changing teams.
The original review was made on 14 October 2026 from the letter shown in published video. We did not test the client or an alliance transfer. This article explains that preliminary plan; it does not confirm that a restriction has gone live. A final duration and effective date require a later official announcement.
