Alliance Gold in Doomsday: what to check before buying a pack
Automatic deposits into the Alliance Vault can be disabled. We examine the confirmed setting, promises to return Gold and the alliance arrangements worth clarifying before a purchase.

Before your next pack purchase in Doomsday: Last Survivors, open the Alliance Vault. Automatic Alliance Gold deposits from pack purchases can be disabled — IGG added this setting in version 1.59.0. Being able to switch it off, however, does not explain who will receive the Gold or when.
If you are choosing a new team, add this question to your checks of its schedule, activity and alliance rules. It matters especially when a recruitment post promises to return part of the Gold contributed.
A small entry in the July update
The App Store version history for 28 July 2026 includes a separate Alliance Vault setting. The Russian and English descriptions agree on its meaning: players can disable the automatic Alliance Gold deposits associated with pack purchases.
The setting arrived in the July update. If you missed it, check how deposits currently work in your own client. The image below shows the Alliance Vault menu entry; it does not show the actual toggle.

Why ‘we return 80%’ needs clarification
In one public Reddit thread, a player looks for an alliance that returns at least 80% of contributed Gold. One respondent claims a full return. Another describes a common fund whose members agreed to use the Gold for rewards based on event results.
These are accounts of individual teams' arrangements. They illustrate different expectations of the Vault, but do not establish a mandatory percentage for the whole game. A recruitment post alone also does not prove that distributions actually follow the promise.
It is therefore too early to compare two alliances solely by the percentage they advertise. First establish the amount it is calculated from, the period it covers and the conditions attached. ‘We return part of your contribution’ and ‘we reward the best event participants’ are different arrangements, even if both distribute Gold.
Three questions to ask beforehand
What is the common fund for? Ask the alliance to explain its approach: returning contributions, rewarding participation or something else. If the fund serves several purposes, find out how it is divided between them.
How can the calculation be checked? An example of a completed distribution is more useful than the highest quoted percentage. Ask which actions count, when the totals are finalized and whom to contact if the record differs from your expectations.
What happens if you miss an event or leave? Find out whether this affects the distribution arrangement. If a promised return depends on attending particular events, compare their schedule with your own. These points are easier to agree on before a purchase.
What to check in the game
Open the Alliance Vault and find the setting specifically for automatic deposits from pack purchases. Read its description and check its current state. Do not rely solely on somebody else's screenshot: the example menu helps you recognize the section, but cannot replace the screen in your own client.
IGG's short note does not explain what happens to Gold that is not deposited, or promise a return of Gold already deposited. That description does not justify treating the switch as personal cashback. If its effect is unclear, consult the in-game help or support first.
The useful result is a clear decision before you buy: which setting you choose and which rules govern your alliance's common fund. That gives the conversation about Gold a clear starting point.
