Bodala's shield: why 2.19 million is not damage dealt

A Doomsday test shows Bodala's shield absorbing capacity at about 2.19 million. Learn what the log entry means, why it is not damage dealt, and how to compare assistants.

The 2.19 million figure in Bodala's shield log describes how much damage the shield can absorb. It is not damage dealt to the enemy. Our hero skills guide explains why you should first select the right mode and read the specific skill. The next step is to identify what the combat log measures and what you can compare before replacing an assistant.

What the video actually tests

On 15 October 2026, Hunt Kun published a Bodala shield test, initially available to channel members on 14 October. The creator attacks zombies, changes assistants, Armament and the Biochemical Beast, then opens the Combat Log. This is a player's observation, not a new formula published by IGG. The video does not identify the client version.

Two sequences are enough for this question: Bodala without an assistant and Bodala with Louis. Both start with 50,000 troops. However, the starting squad size and the number of troops present when the skill activates are different conditions. Similar final figures therefore cannot immediately establish an exact percentage effect from Louis.

Can absorb does not mean damage dealt

In the first log, the entry after Boundless Dharma says it can absorb 2,184,268 DMG. The nearby entries show a three-second shield and 49,426 beside Bodala. This is one activation of a defensive effect. Watch the sequence around 07:30. Open the original at full size.

DMG means damage, but the verb absorb determines what this entry describes: absorption capacity. The number alone does not show that the shield has already absorbed that amount, that its entire capacity will be used, or that the opponent will lose the same amount of health. Sharing a unit of measurement does not make these events equivalent.

For example, suppose a shield can absorb 100 damage, but it takes only 20 before it expires. Its capacity was 100; under those conditions, it absorbed 20. You cannot record 100 as damage dealt to the enemy. These are teaching figures, not Bodala's formula.

Why 2.18 and 2.19 million do not establish a formula

At 10:20, the setup includes Louis. The same Boundless Dharma entry shows 2,194,781 damage that the shield can absorb. There are now 49,810 troops beside Bodala. The creator's own results summary is on the left; the exact value cited here comes from the in-game log on the right. Open the original at full size.

Shield capacity is similar in these sequences: about 2.18 and 2.19 million. The creator interprets the comparison as showing that Louis's skill damage bonus does not strengthen the shield. The practical lesson is narrower: do not automatically count a skill damage bonus as extra shield absorption. These are different measures, and the relationship needs a separate check.

These two frames do not establish an exact zero effect from Louis, a general shield formula, or the contribution of every stat. Troop numbers differ when the selected activations occur, and full comparability of all conditions is unconfirmed. For the same reason, the difference between these two large numbers is not enough to calculate the pair's value.

How to compare an assistant before investing

Choose a measurable result first. For a larger shield, compare the absorption entry for the same skill. To survive longer, you also need losses and battle duration. For damage dealt to an enemy, use the corresponding damage entries. One shield entry cannot answer all three questions.

Keep troop type, tier, starting numbers, opponent, skills and Armament the same. Change one assistant at a time. Identify the same activation in the log and record the troop count at that moment, then repeat the test. If conditions differ, note that beside the result before choosing a winner.

For a Biochemical Beast, also check its role and who receives its bonus. Our beast garrison skill guide explains why a leader effect cannot automatically be assigned to support or the entire squad. That example teaches you to read conditions; it does not establish how every beast affects Bodala's shield.

Before spending resources, open your own battle log, find Boundless Dharma and label the figure can absorb. Separately record why you want to replace the hero and which measure will test the change. The original analysis was reviewed on 15 October 2026 using published video footage. It does not claim a test in our own client or a universal ranking of hero pairs.
