Equipment Might fell: is your Doomsday squad weaker?
IGG once changed the Equipment Might calculation while preserving equipment bonuses. Read that example and learn what to compare before replacing your gear.

A drop in Equipment Might alone does not prove that your squad became weaker. Doomsday has a specific historical example: IGG changed the Squad Equipment Might calculation while leaving equipment bonuses intact. If you see a lower number after an update, first establish what changed: the set's rating or its attributes.
When the score fell but the bonuses stayed
In version 1.52.0, dated 16 December 2025, IGG tied Squad Equipment Might to the highest troop tier you have unlocked. Players whose highest tier was below T6 could see their total Equipment Might decrease. The developer separately stated that bonus attributes and actual combat capability would remain unchanged.
The rule concerns your highest unlocked tier. You cannot substitute the tier of the soldiers sent on a march. This is a historical calculation change, not an announcement of a new nerf. The notes do not disclose a formula from which to calculate how many points unlocking the next tier would add.
The useful conclusion is that a lower Might score cannot automatically be converted into the same percentage loss of damage. The opposite claim, that every drop in Might is harmless, does not follow from this example either.
Where to look in the Armory
In the original Armory screen below, the character labeled Freedom has a score of 2,023,120. Four +20 items and a Buffs button appear on the right. This identifies parts of the screen; it is not a before-and-after patch test. The bonus panel is closed, so this one frame cannot establish which attributes the set provides.

What to compare before replacing an item
First, identify what you are comparing. Use the same troop type and equipped items, rather than another tab or a different set. Record your highest unlocked tier. An overall score without the equipment lineup leaves too many unknowns.
Then open the bonuses. Save their values and the relevant item's properties. If you have an older screenshot, compare matching rows with the same setup. Changed item properties are a separate fact and cannot be explained solely by an old version's Might recalculation. Our Lethality 663 and ATK comparison explains why a table for two different squads is not enough to choose a replacement item.
Finally, check the cause. Read the notes for the particular update after which you noticed the difference. Without old values or a specific change notice, there is not yet enough evidence to call it a nerf or a simple recalculation. Save your current screens for the next comparison.
Do not replace a set just for a bigger number
When choosing between items, compare the properties your squad needs and the bonuses you would lose by switching. Our equipment attributes guide using an Auction House example can help. Rarity, price and Might answer different questions. The practical lesson of version 1.52.0 is to check whether the advantage you equipped the set for actually disappeared before spending materials to restore a score.
