Doomsday Great Hunter: why a ranking position is not enough
Version 1.61.0 lowered Great Hunter's ranking minimum from 500 to 300 points. Understand eligibility, final placement and what to check before spending arrows.

Being ahead of nearby players is not enough in Great Hunter: ranking rewards also have a minimum points requirement. In the version 1.61.0 notes, IGG lowered it from 500 to 300. That makes eligibility more accessible, but it does not reserve a particular rank or prize for you.
The original review was made on 29 September 2026 using IGG's published App Store notes. This explains a version change; compare it with the rules of the cycle currently open in your game.
Position and eligibility are different conditions
A Reddit player asked on 16 February whether someone in third place could receive no reward. The question illustrates the trap: a prominent position looks like a result even when a separate points requirement may remain unmet.
Read the screen in this order: minimum ranking points, your own points, then the reward table for final positions. Looking only at neighboring players can make weak competition look like a completed requirement.

Who benefits from the change to 300
The clearest case is a score from 300 to 499. It fell below the old minimum but meets the new threshold specified by IGG. Below 300, the condition is still unmet. Above it, the next question remains: where will you finish, and what reward does that position carry?
A calculation example, not a game-test result: with 250 points and a 300-point minimum in your cycle, you need 50 more points for eligibility. That does not mean 50 more arrows. The minimum requirement alone does not establish item spending.
Reaching 300 does not oblige you to keep racing. Compare your target reward with the additional resources you are willing to spend. The threshold answers whether you qualify; competing for the next position is a separate decision.
Several reward changes share the same update
In the same point, IGG separately announced improved Great Hunter ranking and phase rewards, including Legendary Hero Fragments in some phase rewards. It also announced more All-Star Night points for using arrows.
These are separate changes. They do not provide a formula of 300 arrows for a desired prize or reveal the complete new reward table. Before spending, open the intended event section: rankings, phases or All-Star Night, and read its own conditions. For another All-Star Night competition, see our Splendid Stele guide to 30 cores and spending limits: a rank reward does not set a fixed participation price.
Other events can create similar confusion. Our Arms Race guide separates phase points, badges and the daily ranking. Its figures do not apply to Great Hunter.
What to check before the first shots
- Your cycle's minimum. Find the ranking eligibility condition. If the screen still says 500, do not calculate rewards from 300 on this article alone: compare your client version, cycle rules and update notice first.
- Target and spending limit. Choose the reward you want and decide in advance how much to spend. An attractive current position is not enough reason by itself.
- Separate counters. Track your Great Hunter points; check phase rewards and All-Star Night points in their respective sections.
- Final result. Save the conditions, your score and final rank. If the reward does not match the rules, those details make the issue easier to explain to support.
The stated change is straightforward: the official minimum became lower. Keep the same useful habit: check eligibility before spending and assess rewards from the final rules, rather than one position on a live leaderboard.
