33rd means another zone: reading Doomsday Island Raid ranks

32nd versus 33rd changes warzone, but does not promise an equal opponent. Read allocation ranges, Federation history and personal eligibility.

For regions with Federation history over 180 days, 32nd versus 33rd place changes your Island Raid warzone: the first 32 alliances enter Grand, the next enters Elite. A warzone is a competition group, not a promise of equal opponents. Our guide to eligibility, ranking and matchmaking separates these concepts; here are the allocation boundaries.

First 180 days, then rank

The rules screen published by DoomsdayLS on 28 October bases allocation on Federation history in the alliance’s region, not your character’s age or time in the team. Identify which branch applies to your field before comparing rank with the table.

“Over 180” differs from “180 or fewer”: exactly 180 days belongs to the second branch. “Old server” is too vague for this boundary. The image does not explain how Federation history is calculated; check current rules or ask an officer for that status.

Three ranges for the older branch

In regions with Federation history over 180 days, successfully registered alliances are allocated by strength: 1–32 Grand warzone; 33–256 Elite; 257–2800 Fearless. These are alliance positions in allocation, not team member counts.

Thus 32nd and 33rd straddle the first boundary; 256th and 257th the second. This interprets ranges, not your outcome. The excerpt does not explain positions beyond 2800. Open the full-size rules.

Allocation rules: Federation history over 180 or 180 days and fewer; ranks 1–32, 33–256, 257–2800; shelter level 8+.

A different branch for 180 days or fewer

For regions with Federation history of 180 days or fewer, all successfully registered alliances may participate. A small number without suitable opponents may receive a bye victory. This is a defined outcome when no suitable pairing exists, not a guaranteed easy-reward method.

An alliance reaching a strength threshold may move to a more advanced zone; final allocation depends on strength ranking. The screenshot gives no numeric threshold. Do not import the 32/256/2800 boundaries without separate confirmation.

A zone does not guarantee an equal battle

A news retelling describes strictly equal-strength fights, but the visible rules promise no such thing: they list groups and positions. The 33–256 range already contains different ranks. A zone name establishes neither equal armies, activity nor match chances.

History shows why the ranking metric matters. Item 7 of IGG update 1.57.0, 26 May 2026, changed Island Raid, Archipelago Raid and Extreme Showdown ranking from Alliance Total Might to Alliance Overall Might. Total Might is total power; Overall Might includes it and recent kill performance. Their weights are undisclosed. Open item 7 at full size.

That old entry does not prove “strength” on the new screen uses an unchanged formula. It shows why total might alone cannot explain ranking. Nor can troop dismissal promise an easier enemy without a confirmed matchmaking link for your mode.

Before the next deployment

Record the event name and current field rules. Check the Federation-history branch and alliance registration status before comparing rank with the correct ranges. This separates a table-reading error from team eligibility.

Check personal eligibility separately: the same screen requires shelter level 8 or higher, not alliance rank or commander level. A suitable team position does not establish every member’s eligibility.

Also check the alliance lock after registration. Zone allocation determines the competition group; the lock determines which team you represent in the listed events. The same number 180 in two documents does not merge their rules.

Based on the 28 October screen and dated IGG history; sources reread on 1 November 2026. The screen’s publication date does not prove the rule changed that day. The editorial team did not test the client, actual pairings or troop dismissal effects.
