Zeroed in Lords Mobile? Check what you can still recover
Before retraining your army, check which troops can return. Understand Sanctuary recovery queues, Infirmaries and when replacing buildings with Manors needs a calculation.

After your Castle is zeroed, do not rush to retrain the entire old army. Secure protection first, check Infirmaries and both Sanctuary sections, then calculate missing troops by type and tier. Speed-ups are needed for the difference between your target army and what remains after recovery. Otherwise you can spend stock on troops that are still returning. If the game itself closes before you can reach Settings, start with our support guide for players who cannot log in.
In a May Reddit discussion, a player said they fell asleep in familiar gear and lost an army of 45 million. They reported about 26 million in the Sanctuary. Their first question was whether to replace Infirmaries with Manors for faster training. Even then, counting is a better starting point: an account of events is not a battle report, and the intended future composition was not yet defined.
First prevent further losses
Check whether you can activate a Shield and when it expires. If the game prevents its use, read the restriction. Do not begin mass healing or troop collection until you know how to protect the returned troops. A Collect button alone does not make that moment safe.
Save reports for the entire series of attacks. The last battle may show only the end of the defeat. Check surviving troops outside the Castle, wounded troops, a captured leader and Sanctuary contents separately. A Might drop alone does not reveal how many troops of each type need retraining.
Identify a cause you can address: an expired Shield, a missed warning or an unprotected army. With the same protection plan, faster rebuilding can return you to the same problem sooner. Set a reminder for the next Shield expiry before spending heavily.
Separate healing and the two recovery routes
Infirmaries are the first accounting entry. Record which troops can be healed, their resource cost and healing time. Do not add them to permanent losses. If some are already healed and counted among living troops, do not count them again under recovery.
IGG's official June 2020 Sanctuary FAQ separates two mechanisms. Divine Resurrection requires Devotion, obtainable through Divine Tasks among other sources. Divine Providence does not require Devotion. The FAQ also excludes Wonder battle losses from the Sanctuary. This is a historical baseline: check your mode's current rules and restrictions in the client.
The archived game screen below shows why one number is insufficient: Devotion stock appears on the right, troops are listed separately, and Resurrect gives the cost of the selected recovery. Turn your own screen into two questions: which troops am I returning now, and how much of the resource will it cost? Another account's screenshot is not a standard for yours. Capacity is not the entire return queue
An April Sanctuary thread shows players confusing the share of troops saved with capacity. An answer about how many fit does not establish the total return percentage or how many will become available later. First identify the section and status being discussed.
In the August 2, 2022 update, IGG described an important Divine Providence change: Arrived troops can be collected without waiting for the full countdown. When available space fills, further troops stop arriving; collecting available troops frees space for those still En Route. An old recommendation simply to wait out the timer can therefore mislead.
Record Arrived and En Route separately on your screen. Do not confuse full capacity with the final recovery total, or add a total to its component parts. The 2022 improvement concerned defence of your own Castle: do not carry those conditions over to your attack or a Wonder battle without checking. Universal promises to return 80% of the entire army do not replace actual records. View IGG's illustration at full size.

Calculate what really needs retraining
Use a separate row for every required type and tier, such as T2 Infantry, T4 Ranged and T4 Cavalry. Record the target, living troops, healable troops and confirmed returning troops. New training = target − living − healable − returning. If the result is negative, no training in that row is needed for the chosen target.
For example, suppose one row's target is 3 million. You have 200,000 living troops, 400,000 in Infirmaries and 800,000 confirmed for return. After fully healing and collecting them, the shortfall is 1.6 million. This is an arithmetic example, not a recommended composition or a recovery-probability calculation. Until the return is complete, the army available immediately is smaller. Check the chosen batch's cost separately: our resource and speed-up calculation for 100,000 T4 shows how to identify a Gold shortfall before training.
Your target need not reproduce the old troop count. Choose the next task: filling guild rallies again, entering an event or rebuilding a defensive composition later. Restoring an old Might number for its own sake may cost far more than returning to the play you enjoy. If returning to trapping, check the defence against the expected attack before recruiting again.
Manors: calculate before demolishing
Manors provide a training-speed bonus, listed in the community reference, so rebuilding advice has a basis. Calculate its benefit using the troops you actually intend to train after subtracting healing and Sanctuary returns. Someone else's saving on tens of millions is not your saving.
Compare training with your current buildings against training after rebuilding. The second plan must include demolition, building and upgrading Manors, and restoring needed Infirmaries afterwards. Assess lost Infirmary capacity during that period and any building bonuses you give up.
If you have invested mana in those buildings, stop before confirming demolition and read the game's consequences warning. The May thread's author specifically clarified their mana upgrades, which changes the cost question. Rebuilding is not automatically cheap because you have ordinary resources stored. Our mana and artifacts article separates building levels, research and troop charge.
Now check your limits: enough troop resources, suitable speed-ups and time to protect the Castle? A large speed-up stack does not eliminate a resource shortage. Allocate stock to healing, training and construction in advance so one queue does not consume another's needs.
Before a large batch, check active training bonuses and event conditions. Establish which action earns points and when it must finish. Combining recovery with rewards can help, but training unnecessary troops for an unreachable threshold turns a reward into another cost.
A good first session after being zeroed leaves a protected Castle, recorded return queues and one specific training batch. Once that batch restores your chosen guild role, reassess the next step. Rebuild for the way you play, rather than recreating the entire old army in one evening.
