RAID ×30: why the Champion you want can still fail to drop

What Progressive Chance boosts, how it differs from ×2 and why reaching ×30 does not guarantee a Champion. Check multipliers, slots and Shard types before summoning.

RAID’s ×30 does not mean a 30% chance of your Champion from every Shard. Progressive Chance boosts the selected Champion within their Rarity; it does not make that Rarity more likely. You can reach the maximum multiplier and still miss the Legendary you want. Before deciding whether to use your reserves, separate two questions: will you summon a Legendary, and will it be your target?

What changed with 11.75

In update 11.75.0, Plarium raised the usual boost for selected Champions from ×10 to ×15, and the Progressive Chance steps from ×15/×20/×25 to ×20/×25/×30. This was a September change, not a new October announcement. The support guide checked on 2 October 2026 already used the new values.

In a 22 September discussion about summoning Mikage’s Epics, one player described spending 16 Sacred Shards for a target, while another reported success with 30 Ancients. These are personal accounts, not a probability table. Another player’s good result should not become your spending budget.

×2 and ×30 answer different questions

×2 affects Rarity. For example, Plarium’s summoning-event guide lists a 1% Legendary chance from Ancient or Void Shards and 12% from Sacred Shards during the corresponding ×2 event. A ×30 label does not activate that boost by itself. Open the Portal’s “i” panel for the specific event and check the Shard type, active conditions and probability table.

A mathematical example, not RAID’s current odds. Suppose the Legendary chance is 1%, and your target accounts for 10% of summoned Legendaries. The chance per Shard is then 1% × 10% = 0.1%. If the second figure rises to 20%, the result is 0.2%, not 20%. This example only illustrates why a large multiplier within a Rarity does not replace the chance of that Rarity.

The ×30 label alone is not enough to calculate the exact percentage for a particular Champion. You would need the complete eligible pool and its probability rules. We do not substitute the number of Champions in the general Index: first, we would have to establish that all of them are available from that Shard in that event.

Three checks before the first Shard

The official Progressive Chance guide specifies that empty Summon Slots provide no boost, although you can still open Shards. Fill every available slot and confirm your choices. If the slots filled automatically, check which Champions are there anyway. Then check the Shard type: progress from Ancients does not transfer to Sacreds.

Check three things: the Champion is selected, the choice is confirmed and the Shard type matches. Save a screenshot before a summoning session. It shows the target you actually selected, which is more useful than remembering a colourful banner. The Plarium example below is a guide illustration; its Champions and timer do not establish today’s pool. Open the screenshot at full size.

The bar leading to ×30 is not a guarantee counter

For Legendary Rarity, there is an alternative route from ×25 to ×30: a separate progress bar shows the required number of summons for that Shard type. Filling it increases the multiplier; it does not promise the selected Champion. The official example below shows 55/100 separately from the multiplier steps. Open the screenshot at full size.

Do not read “45 remaining” as “I will get the Champion in 45 summons.” First read what filling the bar actually does. If the threshold increases the chance, its result is a higher chance. A Guaranteed Champion Event and its conditions need a separate check.

You can replace a selected Champion during the event while keeping the multiplier you have reached. Progress resets for the next Progressive Chance Event, however. Reaching a multiplier now does not let you save it for a later event.

How to decide whether to use your reserves

If a developing roster needs several different improvements, compare the active ×2 and other event conditions first. Write down the job a new Champion should do: clear a particular floor, fill a team role or speed up consistent farming. “Any Legendary” and “the one missing Epic for a Fusion” are different goals and need different decisions.

If you need one specific Champion, set a spending limit before starting: how many Shards you will open and what you will reserve for other goals. This is a decision boundary, not a guaranteed acquisition cost. Do not raise it just because earlier attempts missed the target. For a Fusion goal, first check the remaining route using the historical Theimios example: random summons do not replace counting available rewards. If you use Prism Crystals, read the auto-summon and leftover-crystal rules; Summon Pool uses a separate resource and conditions. For a missed Champion from an earlier Fusion, also check the conditions for changing the target with Fusion Tokens: choosing another target does not complete the event for you.

Before pressing Summon, ask: would this reserve still be an acceptable cost for the attempt if the target never drops? If not, a large multiplier does not fix the problem. If so, check the Portal’s conditions and stay within your limit. ×30 helps you target a Champion; it does not turn a random summon into a promised result.
