Garroq without Amelia: why he is still worth testing
What Garroq can do on his own, how Bounty and his second faction help, where a Lord matters, and what the official mode ratings cannot prove.

Garroq does not become useless just because you do not own Amelia. He has his own damage, effects, and Rage recovery. That is still different from a complete faction cycle: our Grey Blades Sync overview distinguishes ordinary attacks from coordinated triggers. Here is what Garroq does himself and where a Lord’s help matters.
What Garroq can do without Amelia
He belongs to both the Grey Blades and the Star Piercers, so he is not limited to one faction setup. His weapon changes with the situation: the Battle Axe hits three nearby enemies and applies Bounty. With no nearby enemies, the Throwing Knife attacks two targets, applies Bleeding, and deals increased damage to airborne enemies.
Bounty is an enemy effect involved in the Sync interaction. Garroq’s knife Ultimate launches a Sync against up to two enemies carrying it, regardless of distance. That particular attack ignores DEF and applies Anti-Healing. Do not transfer its range and DEF interaction to every Basic ATK.
Applying or refreshing Bounty on an enemy restores Garroq’s Rage, the resource used for his Ultimate. Each Sync he launches also increases subsequent Sync damage, and that enhancement stacks. These interactions belong to his own kit; their existence does not require Amelia.
Immediately after deployment, he has an additional Ultimate available without a Rage cost and without Potent Surge. Potent Surge enhances the Ultimate and makes its effects trigger twice. The free additional cast and the empowered cast are different options, not the same action.

What the Grey Blades add
Allies that apply Bounty create more Rage-recovery triggers for Garroq. That helps him cast his Ultimate more often and extend the Sync chain. Compare not only his individual damage but also how often the lineup creates the required effects on useful targets.
Brazz’s guide, published by the official channel on October 7, 2026 UTC, specifically highlights Amelia or the Epic Lord Galloway. A Lord has a special faction skill. If you own Galloway, Amelia’s absence leaves another option, but the guide does not prove equal results from those two Lords.
Another player’s full-team numbers cannot establish the performance of your standalone Garroq. The Fallen Covenant test analysis explains why awakenings and team contribution must be checked. A0 means no awakenings. Snow’s test and Brazz’s assessment are separate reports.
Choose a mode-specific task
Brazz links Garroq’s flexibility to his second faction and notes uses even without Lords. For Matrix’s Spellbane Form, however, the rating is only three stars: useful across different mid-game teams, but no longer among the strongest later on. Two faction emblems do not replace checking your own stage.
For Malrik’s Halls of Illusion, the author gives five stars at lower levels and four at higher levels, while recommending AoE damage heroes beside Garroq. Quickly defeating individual enemies and clearing a group are different jobs. Artifact Material Raid and the Fallen Covenant receive five stars, but those high ratings are discussed alongside the Grey Blades.
Stars are the author’s qualitative assessment, not a percentage improvement or a chance of clearing a stage. The cards do not provide complete gear, a result series, or variance for the same Garroq under different Lords. They cannot calculate your damage loss without Amelia or promise a maximum reward.

An exclusive Artifact does not replace working stats
The official equipment card prioritises ATK Bonus on the Bangle, Amulet, and Ring. Secondary stats include ATK, Crit. Rate, Crit. DMG, and ATK Spd. Use this as a starting point and compare the finished hero’s attributes rather than only a set name.
His exclusive House Cut adds Penetration after Sync triggers. Its value is tied to frequent Syncs, the cycle supported by allies. The same card lists Shattered Hilt as an alternative for single- or dual-target damage. It supplies no numerical Artifact comparison; lacking the exclusive alone is not a reason to leave the hero untested.

What to decide before spending crystals
If you already own Garroq, choose an uncleared stage and test him in your available lineup. If possible, compare the same battle with Galloway or Amelia while keeping gear, awakenings, and other slots fixed. Track total damage, survival, and repeatable clears to separate the hero’s own value from the full chain.
The Garroq–Rosalia banner described in the source has ended: its deadline was October 12 at 23:59:59 UTC−8, or October 13 at 10:59:59 MSK. Amelia–Sergei ended at the same time in Ancient Summoning. A ×20 featured-hero increase did not raise the base Legendary rarity chance or promise Garroq.
Start with the role you lack. Independent damage and a needed effect can justify trying Garroq in an existing team. If you want the highest result from a complete Grey Blades lineup, evaluate the available Lord and allies together: one new hero does not assemble the whole team.
