Doomsday Arms Race: which counter leads to your reward?

Phase points, Military Badges and the daily ranking are different goals. Read an Arms Race screen and choose where to stop spending resources.

Arms Race makes it easy to spend more than planned: the next chest looks close and your ranking could still improve. But these are different goals in Doomsday: Last Survivors. Phase points unlock chests, Military Badges advance the daily reward, and the overall score competes for a ranking position. Choose the result you want before using your stock.

IGG described the structure in version 1.48.0, dated 19 August 2025: a themed round lasts four hours; missions award points; thresholds unlock chests containing Military Badges. The badges serve the daily goal. This explains the mechanic, rather than announcing a new event. Check exact thresholds and rewards in your current round.

Three counters on one screen

The archived game frame from aphrodite gaming shows a two-badge goal at the top with 0/2 progress. Below it, the current phase has 150 points and the nearest chest at 3,700. A separate score of 994 appears on the bottom row. These figures are not interchangeable.

For example, the gap to the first chest is 3,700 minus 150, or 3,550 phase points. Subtracting 994 from 3,700 would use the wrong counter. The top 0/2 refers to badges, so adding two points does not complete it. Follow the sequence: mission → points → chest → badges.

The video was published on 1 September 2025, uses Indonesian localization and shows Headquarters level 25. This is an interface-reading example. The displayed 3,700, 7,500 and 20,000 thresholds are not promised for your account today. Open the original at full size.

Choose the reward before spending

Open the daily goal and check how many badges remain. Then inspect the next chest rewards and the active theme's conditions. That identifies which action moves you toward the chosen reward and how much stock it requires. The largest figure on the bar need not become your evening's target.

Build a short plan from development you already intended to do. Include an action if it matches the phase conditions. If a chest requires upgrading something you do not need or spending resources reserved for an important goal, compare the additional reward with that cost. Points already spent do not automatically make the next expenditure worthwhile.

For troops, clarify the result first: new troops or a higher tier for existing troops? Our training and upgrading guide explains the distinction. Check your Arms Race mission list for which actions count and when; another event's conditions cannot answer that.

Four hours and one day are different windows

A themed round has its own timer, while the daily ranking uses the day's total points. IGG's description says players in the same Headquarters level category are randomly regrouped daily at 00:00 UTC. A shared Headquarters category does not mean opponents have equal stockpiles or budgets.

Before spending, identify what is about to finish: the current theme or the entire game day. Converting UTC to your local time helps plan a login, but it does not replace your round's timer. The old screenshot does not establish today's theme schedule or how long unclaimed rewards remain available.

Choose a stop condition in advance: collect the badges for your target daily reward and stop, or use only an already planned upgrade without touching the rest of your stock. Competing for rank needs its own decision and limit. After acting, check the intended counter and claim the available reward. A high overall score alone does not show that your daily goal is complete.
