Doomsday Homecoming: check the date before inviting friends

A friend has not opened Doomsday for a whole month, so you send an invitation and expect rewards. September's Homecoming required more: the absence period was tied to the event's start. This review covers the September 2026 cycle, which has ended. We explain eligibility, invitation codes and why five draws did not mean five identical prizes. Section names below translate the Russian reference screens.

First check when the break began

IGG's rules defined a returning player as someone with a level-ten or higher Shelter who had not logged in during the 31 days before the event began. The reviewed cycle started on 1 September 2026 at 00:00 UTC. Counting one month back from today's date is not a valid way to test that condition.

Imagine a friend who last logged in on 15 August and returned on 19 September. More than a month had passed by their return, but the break before the 1 September start was much shorter than 31 days. That example does not meet the published condition. Establish the last login date and Shelter level before arranging an invitation.

On the reviewed event page, Event Rules opened from the three-dot menu. The relevant wording appeared in the first point and again in the return-gift section. Those details matter when a chat summary reduces the condition to absent for a month means eligible.

Inviters and returning players had different pages

For the inviter. The official Homecoming page provided a personal invitation code in the section for rallying comrades after account login. It was intended for a friend meeting the conditions. The rules tied a successful return to the invited player logging into the game; sending the code alone was insufficient.

For the returning player. The Return Gift section had a field for the inviter's code and two task cards: Log in to the game and Contact a friend. The stated steps were to log into the game, enter the code and check claim-button availability on that page. Merely opening the website did not replace an in-game login.

When a reward remained unavailable, the useful checks were the selected account, absence condition and code confirmation. IGG's public rules did not specify the mandatory five-minute wait sometimes claimed in retellings. Saving the task state and establishing the cause was more useful than entering codes repeatedly at random.

Five friends: milestone progress and draws were separate

The inviter's limit was at most five returning friends and five draw attempts. The invitation-progress section displayed five friend milestones, while the draw had its own remaining-attempt counter. Both sections needed checking: they were different reward mechanisms.

A reward at a specific milestone and a possible draw result are different expectations. Another player's report of receiving certain speedups describes one outcome. It cannot establish your future prize or make participating equivalent to buying a fixed-value pack.

The practical order was to confirm that a friend's return counted, check the available milestone, then check draw attempts. Five was the event's upper limit, not an instruction to urgently find five people. One friend who already intended to return was enough to begin checking the process.

The reviewed cycle's deadline

The official page gave a closing time of 30 September 2026 at 23:59 UTC, equivalent to 1 October at 02:59 in Moscow. This deadline belonged specifically to the Homecoming web event and has passed. Other collaboration activities had their own schedules.

For the separate Seven Deadly Sins activities, see our event and Escanor skin rewards review. It explains why the collaboration's overall calendar could not be applied to every mini-game. Check the dates of that archived review too.

Before an invitation in any future cycle, establish three things from that cycle's rules: whether the break meets its start-date condition, whether the Shelter reaches the required level and whether your friend can finish the steps before closing. The rules and public pages reviewed here were checked on 19 September 2026. The displayed screens were captured without logging into a game account; they do not establish the conditions of a later event.
