Magic damage for Salazar: what eight new WoR Aspects change
Salazar's Burning, two Laya options, Khamet's thresholds and Vierna's shields: eight announced effects and the conditions that are easy to miss.

If you are still separating a hero from their individual enhancement, start with our explanation of Aspects using Sun Wukong. The Watcher of Realms announcement of October 22, 2026 showcases eight new Aspects for five heroes. The biggest change is Salazar dealing magic damage and applying Burning. That happens with a particular Aspect selected; it is not an announced change to every Salazar in the game. The Aspect and skill labels below are translated from the official Russian cards reproduced here, so wording may differ in the English client.
Salazar and Hatsutt: more than a different damage number
Salazar — Primal Flame. This Aspect changes his damage type to magic and replaces Bleeding-related effects with Burning. These are different effects: do not assume that his previous Bleeding interactions carry over without checking. The damage multiplier of each Ultimate hit increases by 30%, and each of the first six hits applies a different Burning effect to the target. This does not establish a 30% increase in all of the hero's damage: the announcement describes particular hits and a changed mechanic. It does not separately explain compatibility with his exclusive artifact.
Hatsutt — Solar Rebirth. The increased range applies specifically to her Ultimate. While it is active, every shot launches an additional bouncing attack with the stated 10% damage. Check the new coverage in the client before placing her: the card does not show an exact tile layout. Do not reinterpret that 10% as a proportion of the hero's ATK or a gain in total damage; the announcement does not specify that calculation base.
Two Laya options: a healing field or a wave with vulnerabilities
Verdant Harpist gives Laya 30 Healing Effect during her Ultimate and creates a healing field within range. Allied heroes inside receive ATK-based healing every two seconds. ATK means the hero's attack stat, which is different from Healing Effect. The source card has no percent sign beside 30, so it cannot support a promise of 30% stronger healing. For this option, first check whether the allies you need are inside the field.
Radiant Herald adds a sound wave every three seconds during the Ultimate. It hits up to five enemies within range, deals the stated 100% true damage and applies vulnerabilities to magic and physical damage. True damage is the damage type named on the card; the announcement does not explain the percentage's base or the numerical strength of the debuffs. This is a different set of effects, so a single large healing number is not enough to choose between Laya's two Aspects.

Khamet: an HP threshold and a separate Curse condition
Soul Judge. Infernal Plague triggers when attacking enemies with less than 30% HP remaining. HP means health points. Its frequency limit applies separately to each target: no more than once every two seconds on that target. Exactly 30% is not below 30%, and a rapid sequence of attacks does not remove the interval. When checking results, examine the part of the fight after the target crosses that threshold separately.
Corrupted Heart. Alongside Curse, Khamet applies a vulnerability to magic damage to the recipient. This is an additional debuff on the target; the card gives neither its exact strength nor its duration. The practical lineup question is whether your magic damage dealers can hit the same enemy at the right moment. The description alone does not establish that this Aspect beats Soul Judge in every mode.
Vierna: one recipient and a shield based on the caster's ATK
Frozen Heart. When Kiss of Death deals damage, one stack of Winter's Touch is applied to one target within range every three seconds. A stack is one application of the effect. Three limits matter together: the named damage trigger, the interval and a single recipient. This line cannot be turned into a promise of permanent control over every enemy.
Silent Queen. Bone Shield protects its bearer for an amount equal to 20% of the caster's ATK. When the shield breaks or expires, nearby enemies take damage equal to 100% of the caster's ATK once; the card also lists an execution effect for targets below 10% HP. Shield size is not calculated from the bearer's maximum HP here. The announcement does not give execution rules for individual bosses, so it cannot support a guaranteed boss-finishing strategy.

What to check before choosing an Aspect
The developer says these Aspects will be available through a new Aspect Shop opening soon. The October 22 post gives no exact date, prices, currency or complete acquisition rules. For now, identify the effects your heroes need and work out a budget when readable shop rules become available. Eight options for five heroes do not mean eight free rewards or the ability to activate every effect at once.
Obtaining an Aspect and developing it further are separate questions. First compare the specific effect with your team's task, then check acquisition conditions, and only then consider upgrade costs. This breakdown is based on the official cards rather than our own battles: it supplies neither an overall ranking of the eight Aspects nor a measured damage increase.
